WP1: Mechanisms by which dietary approaches boost tissue protection

This WP explores the beneficial effect of dietary nitrate supplementation to experimental hypertension establishing efficacy in models of hypertension as well as mechanistic intervention of mitochondria. In parallel, the effects of dihomo-γ-linoleic acid and its metabolite HETE on functional modulation of platelet reactivity will be studied.
