Dr Gareth Rowlands

Dr Gareth Rowlands has been a Consultant Histopathologist since 2009, working at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. His main interests are in gynaecological pathology, as well as supporting diagnostic services in the areas of cytology (both cervical and diagnostic). He covers 50% of the regional and local gynae oncology multidisciplinary team meetings, as the University Hospital of Wales is a tertiary referral centre and is the regional Cancer Centre for South East Wales. Dr Rowlands has contributed to research projects over the years (such as in the fields of vulvar pathology) and has been contributory to case reports. He is also Chair of a Royal College of Pathologists Working Group on recommended workload points for job planning and staffing purposes.
