Teachers' Forum
This Forum will be introduced by Danë Goodsman and Martina Wilson of the Institute for Health Sciences Education and is open to all colleagues who are involved with any kind of teaching on SMD programmes.
You do not have to book to attend, but it would be very helpful, if you could drop us a line if you intend to attend, so we can ensure to have appropriate and comfortable space. The general purpose of the Teachers Forum is to offer a collegiate environment for sharing good practice, discussing individual curriculum development ideas or issues, informal (and formal) peer support, reflection and learning, and enhancing praxis and scholarship.
Sessions will be particularly useful for colleagues relatively new to teaching, and those who are preparing submissions to HEA for the
Format:
Themed 90 minute informal sessions, at 1pm on Wednesdays, approximately once a month. Please see below for dates. (Feel free to bring your lunch.)
All sessions have a topic of general interest, which will be led by colleagues with the specific experience. This will be followed by open conversations where all can share their views and reflections, and can raise issues and explore solutions to challenges. All sessions will have a senior educationalist present to offer guidance. You are welcome to suggest topics for future sessions.
