Profile

Research interests: Historical landfill, Costal ecosystem, Geochemistry.

PhD project:

Exploring the contaminants distribution of the coast and salt marshes in the vicinity of legacy landfill sites.

As a result of dramatic climate fluctuation and resultant flooding and erosion, contaminants in the coastal landfill may be released into the surrounding environment, causing pollution of rivers or the ecological sensitive coastal and marine habitats such as seagrasses, saltmarshes and mangroves. My research focuses on investigating the release of pollution from historic coastal landfills and assessing its potential impact on adjacent saltmarsh ecosystems.
