PhD Project 

The impact of Arctic sea ice loss on mid-latitude regions of the Atlantic. 

This study employs a range of statistical methodologies, including machine learning and time series analysis, alongside geographic information technology, with the objective of constructing a robust model to validate and predict climate change impacts in the mid-latitude regions of the Atlantic Ocean, thereby providing critical insights for climate policy and management measures. 

 

Research Interests 

Various algorithms in machine learning, time series modeling and analysis, Arctic Amplification (AA), and the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). 

 

Academic Background 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics from Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Applied Data Science and Statistics from the University of Exeter, awarded the Global Excellence Scholarship.
