Kingsland Road to the Mile End Road
On 5th September Globe travelled back east from the Royal Geographical Society and visited new territory, embarking on a journey along the Kingsland road and making her way back to QMUL.
As we rolled, we met and spoke to people from the Basque Country, Gabon, Nigeria, Martinique, Canada, Bangladesh, Turkey, Lithuania, England, Pakistan, America, Georgia and Italy. We heard memories, stories and songs about people’s hometowns across the world, as well as people’s sense of belonging (or not) in London and how these feelings have changed over time. ‘But where is home?’ Globe continues to ask.
