Sticks and Stones

Globe workshop at the Tate Exchange: 3rd May 2018.

What is surface damage and what is inner damage?

We decided to explore this question by taking Globe apart and placing a microphone inside one hemisphere. This was then connected to a set of external speakers.

People were invited to choose a stick or a stone to connect with Globe. The sounds created reverberated throughout the Tate Exchange making resonances for internal and external ideas of distress, damage and the marks of a journey.
