Mr Rob WhitemanExternal Council memberProfileProfileRob Whiteman is a portfolio Chair, NED and consultant following an executive career which included 4 chief executive roles over a 20 year period. He retired as Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) in June 2024. Previous CEO roles include the UK Border Agency and LB Barking and Dagenham. He is presently to Chair of University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, Chair of Residential Secure Income (ReSI) plc which invests in social housing. He provides pro bono support to several charities providing support to children and young adults and is a trustee of the Theatre Royal Stratford East. He was awarded a CBE for services to public financial management in the 2020 New Year Honours. Rob is a Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman of the Stationers’ Company. His hobbies include theatre and boating, and he lives in Dorset and London. Research
