Pre-Appeal Checks with your School/Institute  

Explaining how to resolve issues like mark entry errors or missing marks directly with your School/Institute before you consider submitting your appeal (if needed). 

How to Submit an Appeal 

  • Practical advice on finding and completing the appeal form 
  • Step-by-step guidance on what information to include in each section of the Formal Appeal Form. 
  • An explanation of the “Grounds” (the reasons an appeal can be upheld) and examples of what they mean. 

Common Reasons for Unsuccessful Appeals 

  • There are some important reasons that your appeal might not be accepted. We will explain the most common issues that lead to an appeal being rejected, so that you understand before submitting your appeal.  

Timelines and Next Steps 

  • Understand appeal timelines and the importance of planning for Late Summer Resits or Graduation if needed. 

We will also provide guidance about the pertinent information within the Appeal Policy (Discussing the definition of ‘good reason’). We can also talk through the types of evidence we will accept alongside an appeal submission.  

NB: Our team members are unable to give students independent advice on what they write or submit in their appeal. We are not able to accept any appeals on the spot and cannot tell students the likely outcome of their appeal.
