Profile

I act as the first point of contact for students and academics in support of postgraduate research studies within the School of History and I am responsible for overseeing the effective management and support of all aspects of postgraduate research programme administration.

I have a BA (Hons) History from Queen Mary, University of London and an MLitt in Medieval History from the University of St Andrews. I returned to QMUL for my doctorate and was supervised by Dr Tom Asbridge and Professor Miri Rubin. My thesis explored the origins and evolution of the vow associated with armed pilgrimage from c. 10501150, offering a fresh perspective on the historical inquiry into the values and relations that stimulated and guided participation in Christian pilgrimage in all its forms. I have taught on an array of undergraduate modules and worked in several student support and engagement roles within the School.
