Queen Mary is committed to recruiting students of the highest academic calibre. Admission is based on academic merit and on the proven ability of the applicant to achieve success on their chosen programme of study.
Every application to Queen Mary is considered on its individual merits.
We usually require a first or upper second class honours degree in History or another Humanities-related subject.
A recognised equivalent from an accredited international institution or an equivalent professional qualification is also accepted.
Applications from mature and non-traditional students are welcomed and will be reviewed by an academic selector.
Our language requirement for students whose first language is not English is normally a 7.0 IELTS score or equivalent.
For further information about language requirements for students from non-English speaking countries, please contact our International Office.
