October 2024 Menopause Webinar Programme

Welcome to Menopause Awareness Month 2024. This year, we are dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and fostering support for individuals experiencing menopause. Menopause is a natural phase in life that affects millions of people globally, yet it remains shrouded in silence and misunderstanding.

This Year’s Theme is #MenopauseHormoneTherapy, the focus is on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in the U.K. This theme highlights the role of hormone therapy in managing menopausal symptoms and improving quality of life.

Throughout October, we will host a series of events, workshops, and discussions designed to empower individuals with knowledge and resources. Our goal is to break the stigma surrounding menopause, encourage open conversation, and provide a supportive community for those navigating the transition.

Developing a Staff Menopause Network at Queen Mary

The EDI Team are looking to co-create Queen Mary’s first Staff Menopause Network with colleagues across the University. This is following feedback from staff that the development of this network is something they would like to see.

To commence the development of this new network, we are holding two focus group sessions with colleagues. This will present an opportunity to share your thoughts on what you would like to see from a Staff Menopause Network at Queen Mary. We are keen to hear your thoughts on how we can create a network that would be engaging and supportive for those directly affected by the Menopause.
