About the Event
This symposium is inspired by Catherine Hall's Lucky Valley: Edward Long and the History of Racial Capitalism. The participants will discuss the methodological challenges of imagining lives, including in colonised contexts, and consider the relations between the historical imagination and the histories of race and capitalism.
The event is a part of Imagination Days 2 events, organised by Maks Del Mar, the IHSS Imagination Research Network convenor.
