The following Mexican qualifications will be considered for entry onto a Queen Mary Foundation course:

  • Bachillerato

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website.

We also consider students from Mexico with the following qualifications:

  • Bachillerato plus APs

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the Bachillerato plus APs:

Completion of the Bachillerato General with an overall average of 8 (pass mark of 6) or 80%

AND

3 AP
exams with scores of at least 5,5,5
Completion of the Bachillerato General with an overall average of 8 (pass mark of 6) or 80%

AND

3 AP exams with scores of at least 5,5,4
Completion of the Bachillerato General with an overall average of 8 (pass mark of 6) or 80%

AND

3 AP exams with scores of at least
5,4,4
Completion of the Bachillerato General with an overall average of 8 (pass mark of 6) or 80%

AND

3 AP exams with scores of at least 4,4,4

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Titulo de Licenciado/ Titulo (Profesional) de [subject area] from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 9.0 to 9.5 out of 10
UK 2:1 degree: 8.0 to 8.5 out of 10
UK 2:2 degree: 7.0 to 7.5 out of 10

Offer conditions will vary depending on the grading scale your institution uses.
