About the Role

Join our team at Queen Mary University of London as a Teaching & Learning Systems Development Analyst. In this full-time permanent role based at our East End of London Dept W you will be pivotal in administering, maintaining, supporting, and developing our comprehensive suite of teaching and learning systems. This encompasses our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle), lecture capture (Echo360), plagiarism detection (TurnItIn), ePortfolio management (Mahara and Pebblepad), video storage (Kaltura), audience response, and VR/AR facilities.

About You

You will have a degree in a relevant field or substantial previous experience in administering the technical elements of Teaching & Learning applications. Your expertise should include IT service delivery in a complex, multi-site environment and a proven track record in project management and operational best practices.

Your skills should include proficiency with detailed experience in managing the back end of Moodle and other teaching & learning tools. You should have strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver customer-focused IT services using industry best practices. A highly organized, detail-oriented and the flexibility to meet SLAs and KPIs are essential.

About the Department

IT Services is a key enabler to the successful fulfilment of Queen Mary’s strategic goals of excellence in research, and teaching and learning. Our services support students and staff and range from email and internet access, to state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, business application software and high performance computing in support of research.

IT Services has more than 190 staff working to develop, support and manage Platforms and Services, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Supplier Management and Business Management Services, Research, Projects and Change, Solution Development and Technology Enhanced Learning.
