Overview

About the Role
The post holder will support the Directorate across each of its sections and services, to communicate the key health, safety and compliance related topics to all employees. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking individual who is adaptable, approachable and supportive in their approach to coordinating health and safety in a varied multi-disciplined Directorate.

The post holder will have the ability to think pro-actively, have a flexible approach and the ability to meet target dates. The ability to embrace team working, work collaboratively or on individual projects, aligned with a high level of self-motivation and commitment are essential. 

The post-holder will ensure that the development, maintenance and production of written health and safety documentation is kept under constant review. Such documentation shall be made readily available to all staff and contractors as appropriate.

The post-holder will assist both the EAF Head of Health & Safety Team in delivering the message of zero tolerance being the intended benchmark for all aspects of health, safety and compliance.

EAF are conscious of the need to monitor and measure compliance and as such, the post-holder will be tasked with undertaking desk top audits, using the audit information to provide monthly dash board reports on areas of strength and weakness.

About You
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level and have a passion for health & safety. We would be keen to speak to people interested in commencing a Health & Safety qualification or are already studying for it. (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH). 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver messages of high quality, to a wide range of stakeholders is crucial.
