About the Role

The project is funded through the William Harvey Research Limited and will explore the wound healing potential of natural plant extracts using in vitro wound healing assays.

The project will be supervised by Dr Matthew Caley and will be based in the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research in the Blizard Institute. The project is in collaboration with the Rognoni group at the Blizard Institute. The project will involve extensive tissue culture of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, timelapse microscopy, image analysis, RNASeq analysis, functional activity assays as well as histological analysis.

About you

The successful candidate needs good communication skills (written and spoken) and can adequately convey results and technical issues where needed. A can do attitude and disposition towards experimental work and an enthusiasm for laboratory research.
