Joint Queen Mary University of London/Paris-Sorbonne University Law PhD Conference on 19-20 April 2018 in London
You are cordially invited to the first edition of this Joint Conference where PhD candidates from both institutions will present on a range of subjects including copyright and intellectual property, corporation and tax law, private international contracts, public procurement, competition, corporate social responsibility, maritime arbitration and the work of the ECHR, and employees' right to privacy.
Attendance to the conference will give you the opportunity to discuss those areas under both a civil and a common law perspective and to connect with researchers from both Institutions.Dr Costanza Russo and Professor Etienne Pataut, Directors of Graduate Studies at CCLS and Sorbonne Law School respectively, endorsed this first edition of the conference as an "important example of the high quality research carried at both institutions and as a first step towards a long term research based collaborative opportunity".
QMUL and the Sorbonne have an established partnership which includes a Dual LLM programme in International Business Law and European Law taught in French and in English both in Paris and in London.
The conference will take place at CCLS premises in Lincoln's Inn Fields and will provide informal networking opportunities for all participants.
The conference will be in English and Attendance is free of charge.
