The National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK and Queen Mary, University of London had an insightful discussion with the legendary economist Dr Raghuram Rajan. This wide-ranging conversation explored India's path to prosperity and discussed how India can accelerate economic development and progress towards the possibilities of a great future.

Dr Rajan's latest book, 'Breaking the Mold' was be available for purchase and signing. 

Speaker

Professor Raghuram Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at Chicago Booth. He was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Rajan was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund.

Chairs

Dr Mohsin Alam Bhat is a Lecturer in Law (Assistant Professor) at Queen Mary University of London. He specialises in constitutional law and human rights. He is particularly interested in the law of democracy, from comparative, socio-legal and cross-disciplinary perspectives.

Sanam Arora is a senior strategist to the Investment Management industry, Chair of the National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK and Commissioner of the UK's International Higher Education Commission. She has a keen interest in India's growth and development.
