Everyone is talking about Artificial Intelligence (AI), but do lawyers really need to know about it? Join us for this online seminar to explore how AI is shaping our profession and what opportunities may now open for you. The discussion will conclude with some “what not to do” to avoid some of the traps in which lawyers in other jurisdictions have fallen.
Iria Giuffrida is a Professor of the Practice of Law at William & Mary Law School where she is also Assistant Dean for Academic & Faculty Affairs. Her research focuses on the legal issues arising from the increasing use of artificial intelligence, the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), and related emerging technologies.
She was previously a commercial litigator with Dechert LLP and Enyo Law LLP and has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution. She completed her LLB degree at Queen Mary, and was awarded the Drapers Scholarship to the College of William and Mary where she completed an LLM. She then completed her PhD in Law at Queen Mary.
