Professor Richard Nobles and Professor David Schiff will be jointly chairing a session at the Council for European Studies Seventeenth International Conference, Montreal, Canada, 15-17 April 2010.
The session is called 'European Legal Systems: a Social Systems Perspective'. During this session they will also be delivering their own paper 'Jurisprudence as Self-Description'. This paper explores the role of a natural law self-description within the evolution of legal systems that operate written constitutions, and in particular the recently amended constitutions of some central and Eastern European states.
