Dr Barnali Choudhury, Senior Lecturer in Corporate Law, has published a Director's Note with The Conference Board entitled 'Women on Boards: Beyond Quotas'. Her report presents an economic rationale that focuses on women’s contributions to board process, as well as an equality rationale premised in terms of promoting social justice. It also discusses quotas and alternative methods for increasing women’s participation on boards.
