Myanmar's government is persecuting Muslims through court convictions

There has been continued persecution of the Muslim community in Myanmar, particularly against the Rohingya. In the wake of the National League for Democracy (NLD)’s sweeping electoral victory, there are calls on NLD leader (and Nobel Peace Prize winner) Aung San Suu Kyi to demand an end to the persecution of Muslims. But Professor Penny Green tells The Diplomat, “The NLD remain indifferent and as a consequence implicit in the annihilation of the Burmese Rohingya.” Read the full article here.
