Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas argues Universities ‘ideally placed’ to assist refugees

Universities are “ideally placed” to raise awareness of the challenges facing refugees and to provide advice on their legal and educational rights, according to QMUL’s who has organised open days for those who are seeking or have sought asylum in the UK. He said that he would “advocate greater transparency and information for these communities, in simple and accessible terms, about what their rights are” in the article published by Times Higher Education.
