Professor Fitzmaurice invited to give a General Course at the Hague Academy of International Law

Being called to deliver the General Course is an honour bestowed only to the most eminent public international lawyers.

The Hague Academy of International Law was established in 1923. It is a leading forum of teaching of public international law and private international law, during the summer and winter sessions.

The courses at the Academy consist of short, special (one week) presentations and the General Course which lasts throughout the whole session. Malgosia Fitzmaurice, who is Professor of Public International Law at Queen Mary University of London, will deliver a General Course for the Winter Session of 2028.

The Curatorium of the Academy invites prominent academics and practitioners from all over the world to give courses in English or French. The courses are delivered to a group of approximately three hundred selected students, young professionals, and academics from all over the world.

Since 1923, all courses given at the academy are published in the Collected Courses of the Hague Academy of International Law. The courses at the Academy consist of short, special (one week) presentations and the General Course which lasts throughout the whole session.
