Maksymilian Del Mar to speak on 'Kinesic Legal Humanities' at Utrecht
Maksymilian Del Mar, Professor of Legal Theory and Legal Humanities, will be delivering an online lecture on 28 April 2025 to the Research Network for Culture, Law, and the Body at Utrecht University.

The talk will introduce 'Kinesic Legal Humanities', an emerging new approach to law and legal reasoning that foregrounds the role of the simulation of movement, posture, and gesture. The talk will draw on Professor Del Mar's work on 'Kinesic Intelligence in Common Law Reasoning', 'Ludic Legal Pedadogy', and embodied poetics, and attempt to illustrate the broader history of kinesic simulation in the history of the language arts (especially rhetoric and dialectic).
