Module description
Online commercial trading is critical to the fashion industry, and this module provides students with a focused consideration of the legal and regulatory environment for retail and commercial transactions online. The module focuses on the law governing online transactions in fashion and online fashion marketplaces, taking an international approach in view of the global online market for fashion. The module considers issues in consumer protection, online advertising, and retail transactions, as well as considering e-commerce strategies specific to fashion, including fashion on the blockchain, the development of fashion in the metaverse, and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly through the use of chatbots in retail, the analysis of consumer behaviour, and the forecasting of trends.
