Enrolment
From mid-August 2024: Enrolment
- Your Admissions team will confirm your place and invite you to complete Online Enrolment via MySIS
- Please check your junk/clutter email regularly as often Queen Mary’s communications may be received in here
16 September 2024: Student ID Card Collection
- Online Enrolment must be completed prior
- Registry will send an email with a 5 minute timeslot to collect the ID card. Emails will be sent around mid-September 2024
Induction
16-27 September 2024: PG Law Induction (2 weeks)
A schedule will be available later summer. The induction programme is designed to:
- welcome students onto their programme of study
- meet the academic and professional services staff and fellow students on your programme
- module selection – information and guidance
- learn how to use QMplus online virtual learning
- meet the Career teams
- intro to Library facilities
- Academic skills sessions
Semester 1 (A24): 30 September – 13 December 2024
During this period you will be attending lectures and tutorials arranged across two Study Blocks A & B
30 September – 3 November 2024: Teaching Period Sem 1 Study Block A (A24)
- Study Block A (15 credit modules) and
- First 5 weeks of 30 credit modules
4-8 November 2024: Study Week (no teaching)
11 November – 13 December 2024: Teaching Period Sem 1 Study Block B (A24)
- Study Block B (15 credit modules) and
- Study Block B (30 credit modules continues)
Mid November 2024: Students doing a compulsory or elective Dissertation will need to submit a draft/working title
16-20 December 2024: Study Week
Semester 2 (B24): 6 January – 11 April 2025
6-21 January 2025: Examination Period (Semester 1 modules)
6 and 13 January 2025: Course Essay Submissions (Semester 1 modules depending on block taught)
27 January – 11 April 2025: Teaching Period Sem 2 (B24)
- During this period you will be attending lectures and tutorials arranged across two Study Blocks C & D
- Dissertation allocation and first supervisory meeting to commence
27 January – 28 February 2025: Teaching Period Sem 2 Study Block C (B24)
- Study Block C (15 credit modules) and
- First 5 weeks of 30 credit modules
3 March - 7 March 2025: Study Week (no teaching)
10 March-11 April 2025: Teaching Period Sem 2 Study Block D (B24)
- Study Block D (15 credit modules) and
- Final 5 weeks of 30 credit modules
4 March – 5 April 2025: Teaching Period Sem 2 Study Block (B23)
- Study Block D (15 credit modules) and
- Study Block D (30 credit modules continue)
14/15 April 2024 (subject to change): Some additional teaching may take place on Economic modules – applicable to MSc Law and Finance / LLM Law and Economics only.
Semester 3 (C24): 6 May – 11 July 2025
6–7 May 2025: Study period
8 May – 6 June 2025: Examination Period (Semester 2 modules)
8 and 15 May 2025: Course Essay Submission (Semester 2 modules depending on block taught)
9 June – 11 July 2025 (Law modules only): Teaching Period Sem 3 (C24):
- During this period, you will be attending lectures and tutorials across 5 weeks of teaching
- Dissertation - continue working with allocated supervisor
July – August 2025: Dissertation writing up and completion period (if applicable)
4 August – 15 August 2025: Examination Period: Semester 3 modules
15 August 2025: Course Essay Submission: Semester 3 modules and Semester 1/2 Resits
4 August – 15 August 2025: Late Summer Examination Resit Period: Semester 1 & 2 modules
21 August 2025: Dissertation Submission
8-23 January 2026: Resit period: Examination Period: Semester 3 modules
December 2025/January 2026 (TBC): Winter Graduation Ceremonies
