What influenced your decision to study at Queen Mary?

Queen Mary offers a wide range of programmes to study, and I was surprised to find the Art, Business and Law programme that combined the two topics that interested me the most: Art and Law.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

During my term-time, although most of the teaching was held online, the lectures and staff from the programme were very kind and supportive. The teaching is well structured and we had several virtual events with guest speakers giving us insights of the art industry. I have to say I enjoyed my time studying at Queen Mary for Art, Business and Law.

What was key about your programme/ were there any highlights?

The highlight of my programme is that it has built a bridge between our academic study and art law practice. We had chances to listen to various art law experts’ presentations throughout our term time. We were also assigned to different cases, and we were asked to make presentations about the suggestions and solutions to cases based on what we have studied.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

Enjoy building connections with your classmates and lecturers, and do not hesitate to ask for help and support if you have difficulties whilst you are studying. CCLS and the Law School are supportive and have many people there to help.

Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career?

Reflecting on my one-year study of Art, Business and Law, I have discovered the programme deepened my understanding of the Art industry and Art law, which has helped me significantly with building a clear career path towards my passion.

What was your best experience of studying at Queen Mary?

The most precious experience I have had is with the Postgraduate Law Professional Mentoring Programme offered by CCLS. I’ve met a great mentor who guided me at the beginning of my career and helped me build my career path.
