What influenced your decision to study at Queen Mary?

My dream was to study a LLM in London. Since leaving my country to study in such an outstanding city and financial centre was an immense personal challenge and an excellent opportunity to meet people from different places around the world. When I started researching about the best universities in London, the structure of the course at Queen Mary caught my attention because of the significant qualification and expertise of the professors and the huge variety of modules offered.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

Even though the course is still being conducted in a hybrid mode due to the pandemic, the professors and tutors are really attentive to the students. I’m impressed with the quality of the lectures and the professors’ level of expertise.

Did you combine modules across specialisations, where available, and if so, what were the advantages of this?

The option of choosing modules from different specialisations allowed me to tailor a program that suits my interests and professional experiences. I was able to combine modules from Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law, and Technology Law, according to my individual interests and my professional expectations after the LLM. I believe that this opportunity will be valuable for my CV after finishing the course.

Furthermore, I believe that studying a General LLM is an incredible opportunity to meet colleagues from other specialisations and share experiences and knowledge from different perspectives. Additionally, I’m currently staying in a private flat in Marylebone. The experience of living in an amazing neighbourhood close to amazing parks, commercial centres, and being just twenty minutes from CCLS makes my London experience even better.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

I would definitely recommend any future or prospective student to enjoy all the opportunities and services provided by Queen Mary, including the events, networking opportunities, talks with professionals and appointments with careers advisors. The university provides all the resources for you to achieve the desired success in your future career.

Would you be willing to share your Testimonial? If so, you could help a prospective student to make an informed choice to study at Queen Mary. (Class of 2020, 2021 and 2022 only).
