How was it studying part-time at Queen Mary?

My experience studying at Queen Mary has been incredible. I completed a Master’s degree in Law (LLM Laws) on a part-time basis, while working full-time. Although it has definitely been a challenging couple of years in terms of balancing work and studies, it has been worth it.

Did you combine modules across specialisations?

I decided not to choose a particular specialism because I wanted to choose modules from different courses, from shipping and trade law, to corporate and human rights law. This has been particularly interesting for me as combining modules from different specialisms allowed me to explore my interests.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

Queen Mary professors are not only research leaders in their respective fields, but they also have advanced professional experience. This really enhances the quality of their teaching and provides a practical perspective on the rules they teach.

What was your best experience of studying at Queen Mary?

My best experience whilst studying at Queen Mary was the possibility to engage in discussions with other professionals studying the same courses as me, so we could really bring the content of the lectures to life.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

I would advise any future or prospective students to make use of the outstanding careers service available at Queen Mary, including individual appointments with careers advisors, networking sessions with law firms and various talks from industry professionals.

All the best in your studies!

Would you be willing to share your Testimonial? If so, you could help a prospective student to make an informed choice to study at Queen Mary. (Class of 2020, 2021 and 2022 only).
