How did you find the teaching and learning?

The professors’ detailed understanding of the topics and eagerness to pass on such understandings to the students, as well as the interactive nature of the classes with students of all professional backgrounds, allowed us to study in an environment in which we could share our thoughts freely and, in such freedom, learn from all those present: experienced professors, existing professionals willing to enhance their knowledge of the field and newcomers who, like myself, were eager to learn all about regulation and compliance.

Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career and how?

The courses offered at CCLS not only enhanced theoretical understandings of key regulatory concepts, but also provided hands-on, practical experience for a professional career in the regulatory world. When I undertook the LL.M. in Regulation and Compliance, I had no prior working experience as I had just graduated from my LL.B. The practical aspects of the course were extremely valuable in preparing me for the professional world, especially in a dynamic environment such as that of the financial sector in Luxembourg.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

Embrace the all-round education that CCLS has to offer and, for a truly enriching experience, learn from all those around you.

Would you be willing to share your Testimonial? If so, you could help a prospective student to make an informed choice to study at Queen Mary.
