Roundtable: Asset Recovery, Confiscation and Human Rights

The roundtable will bring together leading academics and practitioners including members of Queen Mary's Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) to discuss key legal and human rights challenges arising from the application of asset recovery and confiscation regimes in the United Kingdom. The challenges of judicial co-operation across Europe and globally will also be flagged up, with speakers addressing the issue of the feasibility of co-operation in the absence of a meaningful European or international level-playing field on asset recovery and confiscation.

This roundtable follows another event, After the Referendum: The United Kingdom and European Criminal Law, beginning at 12pm in the same venue.
