The School of Law has a number of undergraduate scholarships and bursaries on offer for academic excellence and contribution to the School. Dentons is a global law firm with a long standing commitment to support the local community. Due to their well-established relationship with the School of Law, we are able to offer an annual bursary of £6,500 per year available to students with permanent residence in London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest or Barking and Dagenham and are the first in their family to attend university.

The School of Law is proud to offer a bursary of £14,000 per year in memory of exemplary Queen Mary LLB graduate, Gianni Sonvico. Applicants of this bursary must be in state school education and be means-tested by Student Finance to show their household income is less than £35,000.

The School of Law has a number of £1000 scholarships available to students in their first, second and final years of their 3 or 4-year LLB and those in either year of their Senior Status LLB. These scholarships are based on academic merit and not financial circumstances.

Lawyers Volunteering for the Arts wishes to offer a £1,550 scholarship and work experience opportunity to an Undergraduate Queen Mary LLB student, excluding final year students. This scholarship will enable a law student to support the LVFA initiative whilst gaining practical experience of the pro bono advice sector and financial support.

The School of Law offers a £2,000 bursary to students in the first year of their three or four-year LLB. The awardee of this bursary will be selected on the basis of academic excellence and potential but also be recognised to be from a Widening Participation background.

The William & Mary Drapers’ Company Scholarship is an opportunity offered to all final year students in the School of Law. It is a chance to take an LLM course at the College of William & Mary, one of the oldest colleges in the USA. The scholarship is available annually to a Queen Mary LLB student to enable them to spend a year after graduation in the United States as a graduate student.
