Information for applicants from Kuwait

Welcome to our page for students from Kuwait. We hope the information on this page is helpful. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Entry requirements

The Shahadat-al-thanawia-al-a'ama (General Secondary School Certificate) is not sufficient for entry onto an undergraduate law course.

Students without an A-level equivalent will need to partake in further study before applying directly onto an undergraduate programme. Some students opt to take a two year programme, common examples include: the International Baccalaureate, A-levels, or the Cambridge Pre-U. These can be studied in the UK, but are also offered in a large number of countries worldwide.

Another option would be a one year route such as a foundation year. If you decide to take a foundation year we advise that you look for one at the university where you wish to study your undergraduate degree. Queen Mary hosts the International Foundation Year in Humanities and Social Sciences which, providing you take the law pathway and meet the entry requirements, will qualify you for entry onto the Law programmes that we offer.

LLB Law Senior Status: Bachelor's degree with a final CGPA of 3.3/4.0 or grade B+

Financing your studies

The School of Law offers undergraduate bursaries and scholarships to a number of students each year, currently these range from £1,000 to £14,000 per annum. Different awards have different eligibility criteria and applications and interviews are processed post-enrolment in October/November.
