- If you are a new student at Queen Mary, then our Library Resources for New students is an excellent start.
- When you are getting a bit more settled, our module Find it! Use it! Reference it! is an excellent approach to beginning to establish good research skills, enabling you to succeed in your studies.
- If you are embarking on a longer research project, our module Information Literacy Skill for Researchers will be able to give you a framework and help you explore various information literacy skills.

Effective searching provides tips and techniques for searching effectively for information, some guided search examples, and database guides. The focus is on medicine and dentistry, but much of the content would also be relevant to other subject areas.
