The Languages and Linguistics books are located on the 2nd floor of the Mile End Library.
Queen Mary uses the Library of Congress Classification Scheme to classify books. To find the book you want you need to know its classmark - this is derived from the subject of the book and tells you where it is shelved.
For example, the book Introducing Phonology by Peter Hawkins has the classmark P217 HAW
Use the Library Catalogue to find out the classmarks you want, they are in the 'Holdings' part at the bottom of the item record.

This contains several reference works of interest to students of Languages and Linguistics, including:
Study Skills Collection
This contains books covering writing notes and essys, carrying out research and passing exams, as well as English language learning. The collection is shelved on the Ground Floor of the Mile End Library, and items have the classmark beginning
Electronic books
A number of e-books covering Languages and Linguistics are available online. The Library Catalogue lists and provides links to these, look for records that say 'e-resource'. A searchable list of our e-books is available here.
Oxford Reference Online is a collection of reference books from Oxford University Press, including subject dictionaries and companions, language dictionaries and dictionaries of quotations.
