Support for open access publishing
Open access means the immediate, online, free availability of digital objects; in academic research environments, such as universities and research organisations, this relates mostly to scholarly outputs. It aims to maximise the discovery and dissemination of research findings, bringing the results of scholarly research to anyone who wishes to read it.
Open Research Services, based in the Library, help guide and advise academics on how best to make the most of open access. We can, amongst other things, offer help on how to deposit research outputs to Queen Mary Research Online (the institutional open access repository), offer guidance on journal and funder open access policies, and provide workshops and drop-ins to answer any questions you have.
For more information browse the open access section or contact Open Research Services.
