We are currently undertaking a programme review, which will develop the modules we offer and improve your student experience. Programmes will focus on practical activities, case studies and design, build and test, to bring engineering concepts to life.
We will offer one entry programme in materials – Materials Science and Engineering, which will provide you with greater flexibility and maximise career prospects. After your first year, you can decide whether to retain a broad approach to your studies, or to specialise.
Your programme will cover the fundamental principles of the physical and chemical structure, properties, manufacturing and design of materials. You will also have the opportunity to specialise in the fields of aerospace, biomedicine or sustainability.
Full details of our revised first year modules will be available from winter 2020. Details of second and third year modules will be available from summer 2021.
