Speakers

Dr Pedro Vergel

Dr Vergel is Senior Lecturer in Financial Mathematics and Director of Education QMUL. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Finance from the University of London and has postgraduate studies in Financial Engineering, Financial Economics and Econometrics, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software. Previously, he has held senior roles in investment banking, alternative fund management, tech companies, government advisory and consultancy.

Dr Melania Nica

Melania is a Senior Lecturer in Actuarial Science and the Programme Director for MSc Actuarial Science and Data Analytics at Queen Mary. She obtained her PhD in Economics at London School of Economics, where she worked on applications of economic theory. Before joining Queen Mary, Melania was Programme Director for all taught postgraduate Actuarial Science programmes at University of Kent.

Max Latey

Max is an MSc Data Analytics alumnus who is Founder and CEO of Pinboard Consultancy Ltd, a dedicated graphs and networks consultancy focusing on supply chain, finance, manufacturing and legal.

Vinay Sidharth

Vinay has worked in a range of roles in the finance industry before undertaking an MSc in Financial Mathematics at Queen Mary.
