His research interests lie in the fields of probabilistic and enumerative combinatorics. He holds a BA in mathematics and BS in physics from the University of Rochester, an MA in mathematics from UCLA, and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Southern California. Prior to coming to joining Queen Mary, he obtained post-doctoral positions at the University of Zurich, University of Melbourne and Hewlett Packard Laboratories in Bristol. He was a visiting scholar at Green-Templeton College, University of Oxford and was on secondment to the University of Bristol.
