Corporate Strategy and Environmental Change

Module code: BUS268

Credits: 15.0
Semester: SEM2

Contact: Ms Mary Robertson

This module explores and debates the embeddedness of business in the Earth System. Students examine key relations between corporate strategies and the environment by introducing topical issues in climate change and biodiversity loss and examining prevailing business models and systems of provision in sectors that are foundational to societies and economies across the planet (e.g. food, energy, transport). By examining these industries students will evaluate current consumption and production patterns and their environmental effects and critically appraise a range of public and private interventions to build liveable futures based on intergenerational justice.
