This module is organised around two key topics in corporate finance. The first part will focus on the investments made by firms: Students will learn how investment choices affect the value of the firm, and will become familiar with the analytical tools needed for valuation of real and financial assets. The second part of the module will study how firms choose their capital structure, as well as corporate governance mechanisms that can be put in place to improve access to external financing.
