Overlap: In taking this module you cannot take and not fail EMS606U
This module will focus on electrochemical engineering principles, with application in energy storage and other electrochemical processes related to chemical, sustainable and materials engineering. Key concepts such as mass and electronic transport will be learnt within the context of real electrochemical systems. Students will be able to interpret processes such as corrosion, electrolysis and others taking place in an electrochemical reactor using techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
