Six of the finest QMUL Music Scholars perform Schoenberg’s great sextet for strings, all depicting the power of love, in the exceptional acoustic of Barts Pathology Museum. Before a full performance, Dr Paul Edlin and the ensemble’s director, Jacob Lewis, discuss the work, the surreal yet romantic story behind it, and the ensemble illustrate specific passages to put everything in context.
