The Great Hall, Barts
The Great Hall, Barts is one of the most gracious spaces of its kind in London. Situated at the West Smithfield campus and part of the historic St Bartholomew Hospital (the oldest working hospital in the UK, founded in 1123), this double-height room in Baroque style is adorned with many large, painted plaques which list, in detail, the sums of money given to the St Bartholomew's Hospital by its benefactors. The Great Hall is owned independently by a trust, but the relationship with QMUL, allows students opportunities to perform in this unique environment.
