Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Queen Mary is proud to be marking Neurodiversity Celebration Week, which in 2024 is taking place between Monday 18 March – Sunday 24 March.

Founded by Siena Castellon in 2018, Neurodiversity Celebration Week aims to help create a more inclusive and equitable culture that celebrates differences and empowers every individual. It seeks to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported, by providing an opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent.

The marking of the week helps everyone to understand and value the talents of neurodiverse minds and to change the narrative; increasing acceptance and providing education about neurodiversity so that it is celebrated.

Queen Mary University of London seeks to be the most inclusive university of its kind, anywhere, by 2030. We are proud to be a university that opens the doors of opportunity to anyone with the potential to succeed. Queen Mary's work to create an inclusive environment for our neurodivergent staff and students is underpinned in our People, Culture, and Inclusion Enabling Plan.
