Mauricia works as a Medical Social Worker at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital. Her responsibilities include offering psychoeducation to service users and carers, tracing the homes of patients, reintegration of recovered patients back into the community, repatriation of international patients, home visits and follow ups of patients, mentoring social work students, placing of babies and children in Children’s homes.

She has also worked on the Brain Gain Research Project through the Butabika-East London link.

Mauricia is the research lead for the Volunteer Support intervention of the NIHR Global Health Research Group on developing psycho-social interventions.
