Graduates of the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences have excellent career prospects, with 100% in employment or further study within six months of graduating, 87% of those in employment are in highly skilled jobs and 62% are earning over the median salary. The average UK salary for our postgraduate students 15 months after graduating is £27,395 (HESA GOS, 2020/21.)

Graduates of all our biodiversity and conservation related courses are well-placed to progress onto PhD research or careers in industry, consultancy and conservation. However, they are equally equipped to work other sectos such as marketing and finance, using the transferable communication, teamworking, empirical, analytical and data presenting skills they have developed.
