Careers and employability

The largest growth area for jobs in orthopaedics has been in trauma over recent years.

This course is tailored to meet the needs of international graduates from all healthcare and health sciences backgrounds including surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, operating department staff, allied health professionals and those with a specialist interest in orthopaedic trauma education and training. It is intended to provide high-quality learning, no matter where you are in the world, in order to develop the future leaders in the science and practice of orthopaedic trauma.

Most of our graduates are working in a range of medical and biomedical roles in hospitals and NHS Trusts, universities and within the wider healthcare sectors, whilst a number are undertaking further study or research. The average UK salary for a Blizard graduate fifteen months after graduation was £40,810.

Fifteen months after graduation, 96% of all our postgraduate taught students in employment or study were in highly skilled employment or further study (including PhDs). They were employed by a range of organisations in the UK and abroad including:
